Volunteers Work Day

“Teamwork makes the dream work” -John Maxwell. So we want you to join our team for a few hours on Saturday, April 12 between 10am and 4pm as we chase a dream of a beautiful sustainable place where so many people gather. 

Proverbs 6:6-11 shares some excellent unsolicited advice.  “Go to the ant, you sluggard, consider its ways and be wise!”

Someone will say that the advice is only for the sluggard.  But since the memorable Proverb has survived intact for more than 3,000 years, it likely has a message for us all. 

If you can overlook the indignity of identifying with a sluggard, then you can easily see that the ant provides a wise example for us all.   With no commander, boss or ruler, the proverbial ant works well without requiring supervision or coercion. The ant volunteers and works diligently in opportune moments to prepare himself and his colony for the future.  

Like the ant, we must always be thinking and working for tomorrow! At Christ Church, we are a community of volunteers thinking about tomorrow. We work diligently as each one is able in opportune moments with all the available skills and experience.

Saturday, April 12 between 10am and 4pm, join us anytime to volunteer for a few hours.

We will paint, prune, weed, sweep, organize, talk, laugh, share stories, enjoy snacks and above all, make Christ Church a bit more beautiful for all of us!
